SAS Lounge Copenhagen Review

Where is the SAS Lounge in Copenhagen Airport?

If you’re arriving from outside the Schengen Zone, you’ll most likely arrive at one of the C gates. Located after security in the Schengen Area of terminal 3, you’ll notice the lounge immediately with its glass exteriors and large SAS signage. The SAS lounge in Copenhagen Airport is the perfect hideout from the outside rush of travelers running to their gates. It’s also near a few restaurants, bars, and help centers in Copenhagen Airport.

How Do I Get Access to the SAS Lounge?

  • When traveling on a SAS Plus-, SAS Business ticket
  • For EuroBonus Diamond and Gold members and for SkyTeam Elite Plus members
  • If you travel in SAS Go, you can buy access to lounges
  • Children under 18 can visit lounges only when accompanied by a parent or guardian

Amenities in the Copenhagen SAS Lounge

Upon entering you’re asked to scan your boarding pass and will see an upstairs (for SAS Gold) and lower level. The lounge space has a lot of varied seating. There are cafe-like tables that seat about 4-5 people looking to eat and work, while the lounge area has comfy seats facing one another. Unfortunately, it’s difficult to find somewhere to be alone and nap in peace, but if you arrive at the lounge in the early hours of the morning, you’ll have your pick of the bunch. Most seats have outlets somewhere nearby, and there is free WiFi access.

Bathrooms are kept pretty clean, with 3 stalls in the women’s. Once you pass the bathrooms, you’ll find airport-like seats next to the windows where travelers usually nap. Showers are available if needed- which is a plus if you have a long layover and need to freshen up.

The food area is stocked with rotating dishes: noodles, a salad-making station, soups, pastries, and more- perfect to grab and go. My favorite part were the juices and beers on tap (the apple-rhubarb was delicious). Kids under 18 are allowed into the lounge with a parent or guardian, and there’s a cute children’s area as soon as you enter.

Early mornings tend to be a little quieter in the lounge, while mid-day really picks up in terms of the amount of people coming and going. People working, tv’s playing, and general chatter.. If you do want to relax or sleep, I’d advise bringing a pair of headphones.
