“Welcome to paradise.” The first words I heard as I stepped into the car on route to Grand Cayman’s Seafire Resort & Spa. Upon check-in, I was welcomed with an Island-inspired cocktail- which worked well with the colorfully designed lobby area.
The marble flooring and oriental carpeting showcase the Island’s neutral landscapes and vibrant culture. A welcoming space, the lobby is full of comfortable seating options with plenty of natural light.
Cove lighting and shelves lined with various artistic objects bring an element of warmth to the space, while wooden furnishings and hanging light fixtures instill a homey feeling with all the luxuries of a 5-star resort.

Known for its open spaces and free-flowing design, Kimpton Seafire Resort & Spa allows guests to explore at leisure. Ample lounge chairs and cabanas make the pool and beach areas a great escape during the day- especially for families and children. Quiet moments can be found at any of the quaint nooks throughout the indoor and outdoor spaces.
A personalized spa treatment is a relaxing way to begin any day in the Cayman Islands. With a meditation room, DIY facial station, Hammam-style heated pool, and water installations- guests are invited to unwind and experience the Island way of living through sound and serenity. Ave’s tile-covered rooftop and breakfast buffet is the perfect post-spa treat.
The colors found throughout Seafire Resort & Spa are also depicted in the Hotel’s room designs. Earthy tones mixed with bursts of tropical color and subtle patterns? It sounds like it shouldn’t work, but the team has somehow made this uncommon marriage work effortlessly. The outdoor balcony space is the ideal spot to watch the sunset kiss the crystal blue waters, as dusk begins to approach.
As ‘stewards of the environment,’ the Seafire team do their part in sustainability. As well as having the most efficient ground-source geothermal air conditioning system in the Cayman Islands, the Hotel even has their own Seafire Guardians.
Using aquatic nurseries in partnership with the Cayman Islands Eco Divers, the team carefully relocate and cultivate coral. Over a few nibbles and drinks at Cocobola, Director of Sales & Marketing, Virgil Napier, points out the turtle friendly lighting- a real treat for us nature lovers.
With a mixture of accents from across the Globe, the team goes above and beyond to ensure all guests feel a part of the Seafire family upon arrival. Library by the Sea is an individualistic approach to a traditional lobby bar, and one of the best bars on island.
Cozy bar meets elegant library, the space is designed in shades of sand, sun, and sea to represent the Cayman Islands beautiful surroundings. Look up and you’ll see Dear Miss Ola: a Cayman catboat.
The surrounding shelves are lined with a diverse range of literary works of which the craft cocktails were made and inspired. Bar Manager, Jim Wrigley and his team use innovative techniques to tell a story through their mixology (and was named one of North America’s 50 Best Bars!)
