As a Brit living abroad, I grew up traveling, but it wasn’t until I booked my first group trip around Europe that I really caught the travel bug and never looked back! Like many, I thought life should look a certain way, but after many 3 month long backpacking trips and solo jaunts across the globe, I realized I could follow any path I set my mind to.
How I Went From Teacher To Traveler
After working in teaching for years, I started dabbling in marketing and writing on the side of my 9-5, and told myself that one day I’d have the freedom to work and travel when I wanted.
Fast forward a few years, and I’ve now visited over 39 countries, lived in 3, traveled to 4 continents, partnered with over 40 hotels worldwide, and have worked with some of the largest restaurant corporations, tourism boards, and airlines worldwide.
If you had told me 7 years ago that I’d be receiving invitations for press trips around the world, there’s no way I would have believed you! Through my travels, Hayley on Hiatus was born to inspire others to follow their dreams and work with hotels globally.
